Is everything I discuss with the confidential counselor really confidential?

Do I have to inform my manager when I talk to the confidential counselor?
No, it is not mandatory to inform your manager. You can contact the confidential counselor completely independently and anonymously. If it is difficult to schedule an appointment unnoticed during working hours, we can also be reached outside office hours by video call upon request. The most important thing is that you can tell your story as worry-free as possible.
Can the confidential counselor help me if I am considering filing a complaint?
Yes, the confidential counselor can guide you through the process of submitting a complaint. They can inform you about your rights, help you draw up the complaint, and support you during the further process.
What happens after I have spoken to the confidential counselor?
After the conversation, you decide which steps you want to take. The confidential counselor can help you with advice, but the decision is entirely yours. If you choose to take further action, the confidential counselor can support you.
What should I not expect from a confidant?
Although a confidential counselor can advise, inform and support you with possible steps to be taken based on: your report, the counselor does not take the lead in this. Together you will look for a follow-up that feels good to you and is initiated by you. The counselor is there for you during this process, to empower you.
